All I can say is WOW. These pants are everything, so soft and the fitted waist is amazing. I’m around 5’9 with a lot of leg and got the standard length, they are perfect when I’m standing but do ride up a bit when I sit, like most pants for me. I am so obsessed and can’t wait for all the adventures I’ll have in these pants!
These pants feel great - the material is perfect for protecting your legs from underbrush while also having freedom of movement. I also really like the adjustable waistband. I sized up from my last pair because I thought they were a little tight on the crotch area. When I purchased these pants a size up, I still had the issue where my crotch area is emphasized in an unflattering way. Other than that, the pants are super cute - just from the side or back, lol.
I love them!! This is the first pair of non skinny pants that I actually like! I love the tan color and would love to order another pair if they came in some different colors like dark blue, dark gray, or even mineral blue.
I'm usually a size 30/31 in Levi's so I opted to size up from a M to L in these and I'm glad I did. The waist isn't loose or tight, thighs allow me to bend my legs and they are long enough to reach my hiking boots. Fabric feels of great quality, definitely will prevent thigh holes ;). I can wholeheartedly recommend these if you work outside, hike a lot, or do anything outdoors that requires some heavier duty pants that have great functional pockets. They're not too masculine looking either which I appreciate, so you can dress them up a bit if you're feeling saucy. The rise is high rather than midrise like most hiking pants which is THE BEST. Totally worth it, highly recommend
I just recieved these in the mail and very excited to try them on. So first, I am 5'4", 160ish and was recommended to buy the mediums. That is typically the size I order in too, and the pants mostly fit the way I wanted in the right places. If you are not slim waisted and at a heavier weight for your height, I think I'd recommend going a size up, because I had to suck in to button these bad boys - they don't like my love handles very much, lots of pinching going on when I twist and turn and bend over. That being said, I was disappointed to see that the front is of pants do not have the same stretch as the back of the pants, or stretch similar to the bunching at the cuff of the pants. The pockets are -long- but not stretchy, so you can maybe fit you phone in the side leg, but don't expect to fit much more if it's a thick object. The buttons suck to undo and redo with one hand and the holes are really tight.
The POSITIVES are: great color choices, plenty of calf and thigh room even when you have big thighs and calves, the cuff of the pants aren't too tight. I can fit my hand in all the pockets despite how tight to the form they are. They sit at a nice height on the waist (when I'm not being pinched). Very flattering on the booty.
RECOMMENDATIONS: when I do high knees, to practice scrambling and steep hikes, the material catches too tightly on my knees. Extra material would be beneficial. Thigh protection/crotch triangles or diamonds instead of a direct symmetrical inseam would be nice (like with construction pants for men?). Stretchy front at the belt line.
Excited to hike in them regardless of the critique!
