Lantern Bandana
Details
Wondery is proud to recognize and celebrate Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month. The Lantern Bandana is designed by our very own intern, Kelley Nghe. Kelley draws inspiration from the traditions of her family's Vietnamese culture, as well as her childhood memories being immersed in other Asian cultures within her community.
Lanterns serve as a frame for the true centerpiece of the Lantern Bandana, the Daruma doll, and the lucky knot. The Daruma symbolizes good luck and perseverance, helping people set their intentions and goals for the year. The lucky knot symbolizes longevity and is a common good luck charm gifted during the New Year celebrations.
